Children’s program
With the children’s program in the Montafon, little summiteers can experience exciting adventures at lofty heights from Monday to Friday from 09:30 to 13:00: age-appropriate cairn building by the mountain stream, nature and group games, treasure hunts, a visit to the alpaca farm and an excursion to the Vergalda mountain horses. Under expert guidance, kids aged 6 and over can playfully discover the flora and fauna of the Montafon Alps – completely free of charge for guests of over 200 BergePLUS partner businesses.
Minigolf with a view
Fancy a relaxing round of minigolf with family or friends? Then you’ve come to the right place! Our well-maintained 18-hole minigolf course is idyllically located in the heart of Gaschurn – and best of all: it’s right next to the hotel!
Whether as a sporty balance after an eventful day in the mountains or as a sociable leisure activity – the minigolf course offers fun and variety for young and old.

High ropes course
Different levels of difficulty make Vorarlberg’s largest high ropes course an unforgettable experience for families, groups and individuals.
Put your skills to the test or take your first “steps” in the trees on one of 17 courses – up to 16 m above the ground! But don’t worry, thanks to the climbing equipment we provide, you’ll always be on the safe side. Equipped with a helmet and harness, you can set off on a voyage of discovery in the climbing park after safety training and a practice course.
Nospecial previous experience is required for a visit to the Waldseilpark-Golm. The courses are designed for children, teenagers and adults in three levels of difficulty.
Rifa climbing garden
Here you can gain your first climbing experience on a practice via ferrata specially designed for children. With various routes ranging from easy (A/B) to a little trickier (C) and an exciting rope bridge, there is something for every little adventurer.
After climbing, the fun continues! A water playground invites you to splash around, while the playground with slides and climbing frames awaits you. And if your stomach starts to growl, your parents can sizzle up some delicious sausages at the barbecue area.
Via ferrata
m Summer 2025 A special adventure awaits our young guests aged 8 and over every week: a guided via ferrata tour through the impressive Röbischlucht gorge in Gargellen. This tour is specially designed for beginners and offers a safe environment in which to gain their first climbing experience.
What you can expect:
– Free participation: The tour is free of charge for our house guests.
– Equipment included: The necessary via ferrata set is provided free of charge.

Alpine Coaster Montafon
And off you go on the all-weather toboggan run at up to 40 km/h from Latschau over 2,600 m to Vandans . Along the way, 44 exciting jumps, a spectacular 360° traffic circle and 15 wild 180° bends provide plenty of variety. Incidentally, the whole thing takes place at an incline of up to 40° and up to 6 m above the ground! Each rider can set their own speed.
Children’s puzzle trails
The Muntafun Gagla trails are a unique experience for families in the Montafon. “Gagla” means “children” in Montafon dialect, and these interactive themed trails were designed with them in mind. There are currently eleven different Gagla trails across the entire valley.
Each trail offers exciting puzzles and tasks that playfully introduce children to the nature, culture and history of the Montafon. Equipped with a special Gaglaweg rucksack containing tools such as a compass, binoculars, measuring tape, thermometer and stopwatch, the little explorers can master the challenges. These rucksacks are available from the local tourist information offices for a deposit.
Hiking trails for children
There are numerous child-friendly hiking trails in the Montafon that promise fun and adventure. Who wants a vacation with children will find ideal conditions here: Whether exploring the new Muntafuner Gaglawege, immersing yourself in the life of former miners on the Kristberg or on the research trail with Golmi the marmot on the Golm adventure mountain – boredom is guaranteed to be a thing of the past in the impressive mountain world around the Rätikon, Verwall and Silvretta. The right equipment can easily be hired from the local tourist office.
Waldrutschenpark-Golm – Europe’s longest forest slide park in Montafon
A unique adventure awaits you here, combining hiking and sliding in an exciting way.Seven different stainless steel slides with lengths between 30 and 62 meters take you on a total length of 380 meters from Matschwitz to Latschau. This experience is accompanied by a 2.4 km long hiking trail that takes you through the impressive nature of the Montafon. The slides are covered so that the fun doesn’t fall through even in light rain.
Children aged 4 and over can enjoy this adventure. With a valid train ticket, the slides can be used at no extra cost. For those who prefer to walk, the parallel hiking trail offers an equally beautiful alternative.

Experience puren Driving pleasure on three Wheels: With the Mountaincart whizzes you from the Mountain station the Schafbergbahn Gargellen about one 6 km long Route through Forest and Meadows ins Valley. Who in the Vacation with Children on the Search to Action is, becomes here guaranteed found.
